Many of you know that I experienced a serious battle with cancer back in 2007 / 2008. While my chances for survival were slim, I was fortunate enough to win my battle! Today I am happy, healthy and full of life. It was only though my volunteering at the Cancer Community Center that I have learned just how incredibly important this special place is to so many folks. I am a co-facilitator for two of the many ongoing support groups that the center provides. These groups are open to anyone that has cancer, has had cancer or has been touched by cancer sometime in their lives. I am constantly humbled by the many stories that I hear.
